On Thursday, May 28th, Sophie turned ONE. My baby isn't really a baby anymore. Since we were just in New Martinsville the week before we decided not to go there for birthday celebrations. So John Pap, Doh & Aunt Steff came down the Saturday before her big day. Aunt Jamie and Hannah came up from the state track meet for some cake.

Doh made this awesome cake. I just gave her the Baby Einstein theme. This is what she came up with. The best part is that whenever Sophie sees this caterpillar come across the screen she giggles and claps her hands.

Grandma & Gary Pap came down on Wednesday for dinner and brownies.

numa, numa, numa . . . that's what Sophie says when she loves something!

My baby is 1! She is sweet as ever. Still army crawls. But actually gets up on her hands and knees now. She's cruising along everything and loves pushing her baby stroller around the house. It won't be long now. Her hair is ever out of control. She eats all table food (and dirt and leaves and bugs and mulch and pretty much anything) and drinks whole milk (my grocery budget is breathing a sigh of relief to have no more formula!). She faces forward in her car seat and is completely content to view the world this way. She laughs a lot. And she makes her brother crazy. She is such a complete joy!
