Disney Day Off

Tuesday we rested - kind of. It was a good break in the middle for some recoop time. Ted and Ben hit up the arcade. Sophie played in our room all morning in our pj's. We did some laundry because it was cold and we didn't pack many warm clothes. Around lunchtime we took a shuttle over to Universal Studios and then the ferry over to the boardwalk.

We did a little shopping. I gave both kids a set amount of giftcards that was theirs to spend over the week. They both spent very thoughtfully and didn't ask for anything above and beyond how they spent their money.

We met Brooks for lunch at ESPN. It was so great to spend about an hour and half catching up on the last 15 years. Which is very impossible to do, but good to try. It was so great!

Ted doing a little Sports Center broadcasting.

It was a nice afternoon so we walked back to Hollywood Studios on a beautiful walk and then headed back to our hotel for a quick swim.

It was not nearly warm enough to be swimming, but they didn't care.

Then we headed over to the Magic Kingdom and took the monorail to some resort I forget the name of (it was a day of planes, trains and automobiles) for dinner with Cinderella! Sophie loved it and Ted even got a lesson from Prince Charming about being prince-ly.

That afternoon, Ben was offered several tickets to the Kansas (#1)/WVU basketball game. He was a good sport about missing part of the game but we made it back to our hotel before the half.
