Hollywood Studios

Monday morning we got up and my mom and the kids did some exploring around the All Sports Resort Complex. They ran around for about a half an hour looking at all the different sports areas.

We headed over to Hollywood Studios and met up with our old friend Brooks. Brooks was my Young Life Area Director in High School. He now works at Universal Studios as Director of Safety. It was so great to see him and connect. The last time I saw him was in January 2000!

Right away we rode the Rockin' Roller Coaster. Sophie had a real love/hate relationship with it. She loved the ride but didn't want to get back on. It was Ted's favorite of the week.

We went to see the Frozen Sing Along show. LOVED it. We sang those songs.

And then, one of the highlights of the trip, Brooks set up a personal meet and greet with the cast of the show including Kristof, Ana & Elsa. It was so awesome!

The Pixar section of Hollywood Studios was awesome.

The Toy Story ride was straight up awesome. We used two fast passes on that one. We loved it!

Sophie using her stellar map reading skills to guide us. (Please note the sarcasm.)

The Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area was really cool too.

We went to meet Sully and Mike Wazowski but they were leaving, so we just grabbed a picture on the run. Same thing as standing beside them.

Meeting Chewbacca was also a highlight. He saw Ben holding Sophie's little Ewok doll and took it from it and gave it to Sophie to hold in the picture.

I forget who this character is in the Star Wars line up, but they were around trading things in the Launch Bay.

Our friends the Messengers were also there. So we met up for a few minutes.

Ted thankful for a few fast passses!

And on a total whim, I scored us a reservation at a restaurant I had no idea about. Evidently it's brand new and hard to get a reservation. Who knew? We got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy in their finest attire over dinner! It was a real score (accidentally) on my part.

We finished off the night (a little on the chilly side) with an EPIC Star Wars fireworks show.

Sophie and her purchases for the day: an Ewok keychain (who knows why) and Sven.

Ted's purchases for the day: 2 sets of Star Wars figures

Hollywood Studios was my and Ted's favorite. Our highlights included:
the rockin' roller coaster
elsa & ana
the toy story ride
star wars fireworks
character dinner
the star wars ride

Great, great day.
