Easter 2011

Holidays have been a new experience for us this year. Easter included. Ben and I were filling eggs Saturday night and trying to figure out what in the world you do on Easter morning. Up until this point, Ben was already at church when the kids got up, we would fly out the door in the morning, come home, eat lunch and go straight to naps. We usually handed the kids their baskets around 4pm. We figured it out.

Our friends The Johnston's sent Ted a real Englad soccer uniform. So I put it in his basket. It's awesome! The glasses are just a dress up item Ted has chosen to wear for many, many days. I kind of like them.

 

 

Sophie got a brand new hair set that included hair dryer, straightener, brush, curling iron, lip stick and (pretend) perfume. Needless to say, we've been spending lots of time getting our hair done.

Ted decided to wear his soccer shirt to Easter church. He also decided to iron it with the hair straightener. That's something he learned from me. If you can't iron it with your straightener (usually while on my person) it's not going to get ironed.

I hosted dinner for Sam, Whitney, Meredith and the Teodoro's. We had quite a spread.

We had a huge Easter egg hunt in the sopping wet grass.

Easter is almost as lucrative as Halloween in the candy department.
