the sunday funnies

Sophie is developing quite the sense of humor and funny habits. She always sleeps with her blankie over her head. The other night, she was sleeping in the corner of her crib in an L-shape. I pulled her blankie off her head (you know, to make sure she was breathing) and she immediately pulled it back over her head. I pulled it off again. She was just laying there looking at me, sucking her thumb and pulled it right back. We played this game several times. She eventually smiled - thumb still in mouth.



She now gets in the snack cabinet. Anything she can't open herself she takes to her high chair and pulls at it. When she wants to be picked up, she just pulls at your pant legs.



Ted loves to play outside. Here he's drawing a spider web on the sidewalk. The past 2 days, he knocks on the door and comes in as Ben Santen. He says that his mom dropped him off and he's staying the night. So he asks me all kinds of questions like what's your dogs name? Is she nice? What's your baby's name? Can she talk? Where's my room? Where should I put my dirty laundry? It's hilarious. And he calls me Laura. It's really funny how he doesn't let on that he knows anything.

Ted loves to drum. We have four paint cans with different amounts of paint left in them. He diescovered on his own that they all make different sounds. Here, he's drumming on the 4 paint cans, the laundry hamper, dog food can and the board. His own personal drum set. He's really quite good. Oh, and he LOVES to be in his underwear. Reminds me of my brother when he was about this age.
